SSC Grading Terms

Effective version: August 23, 2026.

By submitting cards to SSC Grading, you authorize SSC to receive, inspect, grade, photograph as needed, encapsulate when applicable, and return the submitted items according to the selected service.

Grading

Grades are SSC’s assessment under its published grading methodology. A grade is not a guarantee of market value, authenticity by another company, future condition, or the grade another grading service may assign.

Card value

Unless expressly offered as a separate feature, SSC Grading does not provide an appraisal or guarantee a card’s monetary value.

Condition and rejection

SSC may decline cards that cannot be safely or appropriately graded, including items with conditions outside accepted service criteria. TCG cards may remain in a penny sleeve when SSC determines doing so is appropriate to protect the card during handling.

Shipping and risk

Customers are responsible for properly packaging inbound submissions. Return shipping, insurance selections, and applicable charges are shown through the grading order process. Risk allocation for lost or damaged shipments may depend on the carrier, selected coverage, and applicable law.

Monthly membership credits

Free grading credits offered through Collector Plus or Pro are subject to the Collector Membership Terms, including monthly expiration and no rollover.

Turnaround

Any stated turnaround is an estimate unless expressly guaranteed in writing. Delays can occur because of volume, shipping, equipment, or other operational circumstances.
